Unique identification project was initially conceived by the Planning Commission as an initiative that would provide identification for each resident across the country and would be used primarily as the basis for efficient delivery of welfare services.
Aadhaar is a 12-digit unique number which the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) will issue for all residents. The number will be stored in a centralised database and linked to the basic demographics and biometric information – photograph, ten fingerprints and iris – of each individual

Its tooooooooooooo long card. Need to fold 3 / 4 times. It should be like PAN card that can be fitted in wallet, otherwise we have carry a bag to carry this “UNIQUE” card.

I have received my unique aadhaar card vide no.8881 4071 7534. Thanks for the same. In the acknowledgement issued me on 15/11/2011 the photo is clear, but in original aadhaar card I have closed eyes. How can this will happen and Can this card will be changed ? Please confirm me on my email.

when issue my uniqe card
the status of my UID card is that it has been returned undelivered to uid by the post office with the reason that the address is incomplete but this is not the factd, unfortunateloy we were not available at our given address on the day the cards were to be delivered by the postman concerned. The post office concerned has returned these cards to the sender agency i.e. uid as is evident from the website of the uid. please let me know how i can get these uid cards back. could you kindly send them once again to my given address. pleae ifnorm.

Ser, Maine aadhar card banwane ke liye form sabhi data entry ke dauran, Date 26/11/2011 ko jamaa kiya tha jiska sr.no. 1171/04965/01581 hai, lekin aabhi tak aadar card hame prat nahi huwa, aap se niwedan hai ki mera aadar card banwane meri madad kare.
